October Wishlist

October Wishlist
1) Vertical Plait Crochet Cream Cardigan - Romwe. $79. I need a big comfy cardigan for the fall!
2) Black Turnup - TOPSHOP. $20. I love beanies and think they can add so much to an outfit. I definitely want to find one in black and one in maroon.
3) Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh - Sephora. $22 each. I love this scent and the rollerballs are so convenient to carry around for a quick freshen up.
4) The Righteous Butter - Soap & Glory. $20. I have really been loving Soap & Glory's Hand Food so I want to try other products. Know any good ones besides this butter?
5) Knee Socks - H&M. $11. Essential. I have so many socks but only a couple knee highs. I need more so they can casually peak through boots!
6) Sephora's Collection Smart Liner - Sephora. $14. This is a new product by Sephora and I really need a new liquid eyeliner. I want to give this one a try. It makes a lot of wonderful claims that I hope ring true for the product.  "Super-easy application and mistake proof high precision line... apply your desired look in one slick motion and flaunt a bold, intense look with up to 24 hours of silky, smudge-proof wear"... alright I hope so!
7) Kipp Metal Disc Led Fairy Lights - Habitat. $40. I need lights!! These are so cute :)

What do you think? What is on YOUR wishlist for October?

Day in the Life | Broadway Flea Market & First Date

Hello there!
This is my 100th post!!! I am so excited and I can't believe that I am already at this point in my blog.

I just had such an amazing weekend and I thought I would do a day in the life post to tell you all about it!

Several friends and I woke up bright and early last Sunday morning to catch the 8:31 am train into NYC. We planned out our day so that we could go to Broadway Cares Flea Market in Times Square and then hopefully see First Date with student rush tickets. We arrived in the city and went immediately to stand at the box office at the Longacre Theater. When we arrived we were second in line and that line began to grow! We waited for two hours, taking turns going to Starbucks for drinks and when the theater opened at 12 pm, we got our tickets.

We headed over to Shake Shack for lunch, Forever 21 for some shopping, and then to the Broadway Flea Market to meet some stars.

I had one goal that day and that was to meet the infamous Cherry Jones. She not only is a Broadway legend, but also one of my idols. She is currently in The Glass Menagerie on Broadway, which I will be seeing in two weeks so hopefully I will see her again! When I met her, my heart was racing. She was so kind and sweet and I think we hugged about six times. I just kept holding her hands and telling her how amazing I thought she was. I also told her that my mom, who is in Cleveland, wanted me to tell her that she thinks she is a goddess! Cherry laughed and as I was saying goodbye, she told me to give her love to my mom! I left and started crying. Yep. I couldn't believe what just happened. I was so happy :)

Anyway, then we rushed over to the Longacre to watch the matinee performance. The show was incredible! It was so funny and I definitely recommend seeing it or at least listening to some of the songs. Check out the website with a trailer here. Afterwards, we waited outside the stage door and got to meet, take photos with, and get signatures from the cast. They were all so friendly and upbeat. Very talkative and sweet! Krysta Rodriguez was so cool and engaging. Maddie swooned because she is such a fan of Smash. Zachary Levi was stunning. I told him that I thought he was beautiful and he told me to bless my heart. I replied with, "Bless your heart!". Michelle is convinced she will be the future Mrs. Levi, even though there is a slight 13 year age difference :) Essentially, it was a pretty exhilarating experience meeting them.

We then had to head back to New Jersey so we made our way to Penn Station and went home. We were all exhausted but on a high from the excitement of the day.

I made a vlog about the day so you can see for yourself what was going on! I hope you enjoy the video and the photos <3

Here is the VLOG!

Thanks for reading/watching!
Hope you have a wonderful day!

Review: Garnier Fructis Fall Fight Strand Saver

I am in LOVE with this product.

I just got it about a week ago and I have been using it every day since. I find that since I have dyed my hair so much, I tend to have a lot of breakage and I end up losing a lot of strands either in the shower or whilst brushing my hair.

The formula contains energizing caffeine, fortifying biotin and fruit vitamins which work to strengthen hair from root to ends, reducing breakage and falling strands. Not only do I already see improvement in just the several days I have been using it, but the fruity smell has been deliciously addicting!

You can apply the product to damp or dry hair. I tend to use it after I shower when my hair is still damp. I spray it all over my hair, focusing on the roots, and I work it through with my fingers for about a minute. Instead of just spraying it and letting it set, I like to finger through my hair and work it into my roots and ends. It feels so refreshing!

I definitely recommend this product to anyone who needs to build up the strength of their hair because of past damage.

What do YOU think?
Have you tried this product or a similar one?

Ear Cuff Obsession

Someone said to me today that I have nice cartilage.
This someone is a very sarcastic, witty guy that I have several classes with this semester who was teasing me BUT in actuality just really liked my ear cuffs.

I am just really in to them because they are so easy and cute!

Some may say, "That's a cop out! Just get your cartilage pierced! It is just so much easier/prettier/cooler, you silly girl!"...
To those people, I give them this list:

Reasons why I do not want to pierce my cartilage:
1) I sleep on my side normally and I hear it hurts then...
2) $$$ - I am a college student only a short train ride from NYC, I have some other ideas of where I want to blow my money ;)
3) I am afraid it will ache for a long time because when I got my double piercing, it ached for about three weeks.
4) Basically, I just am a wuss and would rather wear a nice cuff substitute.

Some may say, "Cuffs are awesome. Feed that obsession! Stock up! Buy options! Wear them on BOTH ears! Where two at a time!"...
To those people, I say thank you kindly for your permission to express myself and my style :)

What do YOU think of ear cuffs?
Too gaudy? Unnecessary? Fashionable? Beautiful? YOUR new obsession?
Do they float your boat? Do they make your merry go round? Are they your cup of tea?

Let me know!

Review: LUSH Mask of Magnaminty

So I thought I would do an official "review of a product" post. I normally just review products in my monthly favorites posts, but I simply cannot wait two and a half more weeks to tell you about this mask!

So here are all the little things that I love about this mask:
- Its earthy, minty smell
- It feels refreshing
- The exfoliating Aduki Beans are lovely on my skin
- The tingy-clean sensation I feel as I wash it off
- How it is made with vegetarian ingredients and like all LUSH products, the pot is made from 100% recycled plastic

So, the LUSH associates recommend you apply this mask once every week as a weekly maintenance routine. I only use it on my face and I am already finding it has decreased the size of my pores. I leave it on for a good ten minutes and then gently wash off with warm water and pat dry.

I would say this is my favorite LUSH product at the moment. For those of you with sensitive skin, I believe this product would be fine for you. I have read some reviews that say it stings a little at first and then starts to do its job.

Have you tried this product or any similar masks? There are several at Sephora that I want to try but they are just so expensive :(

Let me know what you think!

Song of the Week No. 11

Hello!

I can't believe how busy life has been since returning to college. I miss being able to post every day or two. My past week has simply been a whirlwind!

This song of the week is "Sweet Louise" by The Belle Brigade.

It has been mine and my roommate Michelle's alarm every morning. Waking up to it is SO delightful. It is a beautiful song and it just makes me feel ready for the day! Give it a listen and tell me what you think <3

Monthly Favorites | August

SO, after over a week of not having my laptop to be able to blog on, I finally have it returned and fixed! I am so relieved and now without further ado, here are all of monthly favorites from August, starting with the beauty products and a book:

- Philosophy's Purity Facial Cleanser is amazing! I used it for about three weeks with the Clarisonic and now that I am at college again (without my mother's Clarisonic), I have been using it just by itself. As I work it into a lather, I can feel my skin being refreshed. I really enjoy the general scent of it and so far I like how it has been cleaning my face.

- Now, everyone and their mother has been talking about the Maybelline Color Tattoos and I thought I would hop on the bandwagon and give them a whirl. I really have been enjoying 'Bold Gold' and 'Tough as Taupe'. They are extremely matte and I have been finding that I don't need to wear an eye primer underneath because the shadow remains matte and keeps my upper liquid eyeliner in place. Both also have a very solid, bright pigmentation.

-I am in love with LUSH. I recently got this Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub and it has been heavenly. I love washing my face in the morning with this scrub because it wakes me up. The scent is pleasant yet very strong but it does not linger after you wash it off.

- The Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray has been my lifesaver these past few weeks. It has been very hot and I find that the De-Slick does what it sets out to do. I spray it after putting on my foundation and concealer but before I set my makeup in with a matte powder. The only negative is the smell - not my favorite but thankfully it does not linger.

- The Real Techniques brushes are beautiful. I am so glad that I invested in these. I have mostly been using the essential foundation brush because I find that I like the way it smoothes out my foundation.
- Soap & Glory's Hand Food has become my absolute favorite lotion. It... smells...  INCREDIBLE. I am a bit addicted and know that I better slow down because I can't waste any of it. It definitely moisturizes my hands and leaves them soft and refreshed.

- Mindy Kaling is hilarious for those of you who do not know. She is from The Office, No Strings Attached, This is the End, Wreck-it Ralph, etc. This book is a tour of her life where she discusses growing up as a fat child, romance, friendship, her career, and Hollywood. I think it is clever, witty, and up-lifting.

Now on to the movies I recommend you see!

- We're the Millers: Seriously, go see this. The entire cast is perfect and I was dying of laughter in the theater!
- Like Crazy: I think I mentioned this movie before as being on of my favorites... actually maybe not but it is so if you are in the mood to cry, watch this beautiful romantic love story.
- Ocean's Eleven: .... and also Twelve and Thirteen. These movies are just so detailed, clever, and funny. Also, Brad Pitt is gorgeous in them.
- The First Time: I just watched this with my roommate Michelle and we were both swooning over how lovely this movie is! It is so real. It is well-casted, well-performed, and the story line is so interesting.

So what do you think!? What were some of your favorites from last month or just recently? It feels so good to be able to write a blog post again :)

Ugh Computer Problems!

Hello there!

So, I have been so frustrated lately because I have been unable to post on my blog due to a keyboard issue I've been having with my MacBook Pro. Unfortunately, it is going to be a few more days until I can get some posts up. I have so much in store and I am very anxious to post but I can't until I have my computer back :( I am currently writing this on my iPhone and it is quite difficult. Anyway, I'm staying positive and hoping to update within the next few days.

Get excited for a Monthly Favorites which I have been working on, a Dorm Tour, maybe a campus tour of some cool places in my college, a haul from LUSH, and maybe just a lifestyle photo post!

I hope you all are well! Good luck to all who are starting back at school :)
