A New Chapter

Hello everyone,

So, today is the beginning of a new chapter for this blog. I have begun a project with my friend Gabby, who is an incredible dancer and choreographer, to kickstart her dance blog. We will be posting videos to all of our social medias, most likely once a week.

The videos are danced & choreographed by Gabby and filmed & edited by me. I would love if you gave them a watch and let us know what you think in the comments. We have been working really hard and your feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Check out Gabby's blog here and make sure to subscribe to her channel on Youtube.

Look for more to come and I hope you enjoy!

Review: Sephora Smart Liner

Hello everybody!
I thought I would do another review of a product that I have ABSOLUTELY BEEN OBSESSED WITH SINCE I BOUGHT IT!!!

It is the Sephora Smart Liner which I mentioned purchasing in my last Day in the Life post. I was a bit skeptical about it at first because when I asked the woman at Sephora if she recommended the product, she didn't seem too enthused. She said it was great for people just learning to use liquid eyeliner and there are better ones out there. I have been using liquid eyeliner for only about 6 months but in that time I feel I have improved immensely. Still, I heard good things about this from a few other bloggers and I thought I would give this one a whirl and decide for myself.

Not only has it made the application so much easier and stress-free, but it also looks FLAWLESS. I have gotten several comments in the past two weeks about how great, striking, and perfect my eyeliner looks. I have been so pleased!! It is SO easy to get a perfect winged look. It was a bit on the pricey side for an eyeliner ($15) but I truly believe it was well spent.

Do you think you would purchase this eyeliner? Have you tried this particular product or have another awesome liquid eyeliner that you swear by? Let me know :)

I hope you enjoyed this review. I definitely recommend this to anyone, especially beginners.

Have a wonderful day <3

Review: Moroccan Oil Treatment

Hello there!

I thought I would do a review on this product as I have been using it for the past two months. Now, I do not actually own this, particularly because it is so expensive and I haven't been able to save up money to buy my own. It is actually my loving roommate Michelle's who encourages me to use it all the time because she loves me and is the best person ever. She knows that my hair needs all the treatment it can get because my hair is crazy!

I put two pumps into my hands and work it through my wet hair after I shower. The smell is amazing. It works as both a heat protectant, a product that quickens the drying of my hair, and makes my hair smooth and shiny. Plus, it is so pretty and makes me feel classy and special when I use it. Thanks Michelle! It is quite expensive (around $40 I think) but I am hoping to invest in my own bottle as soon as I can afford it :)

I do still love my Organix Moroccan Oil that I reviewed back in my Monthly Favorites from June but I think I want to invest in this one!

What do you think? Have you tried this product or a similar one?

Day in the Life | My Fall Break

HELLO THERE!
This past weekend was my university's fall break so my roommate Michelle, my friend Maddie, and I went into NYC for three days. We took the train in from Jersey on Friday night. Maddie and I went to Brooklyn while Michelle went to stay with her sister on the Upper West Side. Maddie and I spent the night at my aunt and uncle's, ordered in amazing Italian food from one of my favorite restaurants in Brooklyn called Vinny's, watched two movies, and had a fun, bonding, relaxing night. On Saturday, we met up with Michelle in Nolita to go to our favorite organic cafĂ© called Epistrophy. I ordered my favorite (my usual): a croissant with salmon, brie, arugula, and cherry tomatoes. I also got a Jasmine tea that was beautiful.
After, we got gelato at Ciao Bella and it was perfection. We then headed to the theatre district to watch director David Leveaux's Romeo and Juliet with Orlando Bloom and Condola RashadThe spectacle of the show was really cool - there was fire, music, and flying in of set pieces. However, the acting and chemistry on stage was lacking. It was still very enjoyable to watch though and I liked watching their unique contemporary adaptation. AAANNDDD I met Orlando Bloom afterwards and got his signature! He unfortunately didn't have time to take photos with people but we got many creeper pictures of him looking cute and talking to us.
After the show, Maddie hopped on a train to go home to Boston and Michelle and I went to China Town to Joe's Shanghai where you can find the best pork dumplings ever! I headed back to Brooklyn and watched Joss Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing with my lovely Aunt <3

The next morning, my aunt and uncle took me to Odessa in the East Village for breakfast.  It was incredible and our waiter was this adorable old man who kept calling me beautiful :) We then went to my aunt's favorite bookstore, Housing Works on Crosby Street where I got several plays. They then dropped me off in the theatre district to meet up with Michelle. We went to the matinee performance of director John Tiffany's The Glass Menagerie with an all-star cast, including my idol Cherry Jones. It was breath-taking!

(Me realizing I am not Cherry Jones............. YET)
Me and Brian J. Smith who played a wonderful Gentlemen Caller. I told him I loved him from Gossip Girl and he laughed and said "Yeah I always either get that or that they love me from the Syfy channel stuff I have done. Weird contrast!" and I laughed and said "But that's awesome!" and we chuckled and had a moment and he hugged me and I died. He is just so adorable :)
I got this poster for my dorm!
The playbills from this weekend with signatures from the cast.
My tickets :)
<3 The things I bought. Those are the plays and I also bought two things from Sephora. Soap & Glory's Hand Food and the new Sephora eyeliner that I had on my October Wishlist. I have been using it and I already love it! I will do a review soon.
I went back to campus on Saturday night, exhausted but so happy. Michelle stayed in the city and watched First Date again with her sister :) She got a poster for her side of our dorm!

On Monday, we still did not have class and so several of my friends (Ron, Andrew, Michelle, and Shafer) and I took a mini road-trip to visit our friend Meredith who got her tonsils out and was recovering at home. We drove 2 hours to Connecticut, blasting music and laughing the entire time. We hung out there, gossiping of course and bonding. It was an amazing time. We got back really late last night but it was so worth it!!! I seriously am so lucky to have the most amazing friends.
I had such an amazing weekend and I hope you did too! Also, I hope you enjoyed this post :) Thanks for reading! xx

Monthly Favorites | September

Hello everybody! It is that time for another monthly favorites post! These are my absolute fav to write and take photos for because I get so excited to share my loves of the month to all of you :)

So let's crack on. I hope you enjoy!

- Forever 21 Makeup Cleansing Tissues. Each one of these was $2.80 for 30 wipes! I was skeptical at first because they are so cheap but I am really enjoy using them and they do the job nicely. I love how both smell and I think that I will keep buying these.
- Glade Apple Cinnamon Spray. I love the seasonal air refresher sprays by Glade and this one just makes my room feel very autumny and warm. It still is not quite cold outside (today the high is 77... not okay) but I definitely feel in the fall/winter mood when I spray this about my room.

- Mineral Mist from Midnight Velvet. SO, I won a $50 gift card to Midnight Velvet through a giveaway on the blog Beauty Parfait and it was a beautiful moment. I got to page through their catalog and pick out a few bits. This mineral mist intrigued me so I thought I'd give it a chance. So far I really like how it refreshes my makeup mid-day and wakes me up. It also helps my makeup to stay on longer. With the gift card, I also got another pillow for my bed and some LED fairy lights for my wall!
- Sephora Daily Makeup Brush Cleaner. This stuff has been my savior since I got new brushes (Real Techniques). It smells good, cleans my brushes thoroughly, and is so easy to use. I just spray each brush a couple times and thoroughly rub all the makeup off using a towel. It makes me feel like I am being healthy and clean getting rid of all the germs.

- Forever 21 Makeup Bag. This is not only adorable but the size is so convenient. I keep this in my purse or backpack with a few essentials for when I am out in classes and rehearsals all day.
- LUSH Rehab Shampoo. During my stock up on LUSH products for the semester, I knew I needed something to revitalize my damaged hair. I needed to bring my hair back to health after all the color damage I have done to it. This vegan shampoo contains olive oil infused with cleansing enzymes, softening seaweed, and scalp toning essential oils. I am convinced that this is the product that is transforming the health of my hair. I pair this with Happy Happy Joy Joy conditioner from LUSH and the two together are working amazingly.

- Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray. This is a product that I have been eyeing for quite some time now. I ordered it from Urban Outfitters because apparently every store that claims to sell it is always out of stock :( But, now that I have it, I am more than pleased! I was nervous that I wouldn't really see a difference in my hair but it seriously makes it look very beachy and wavy.
- Covergirl Pressed Powder Compact. This has been my compact for probably the past three years and I cannot live without it. I use the lightest shade, Classic Ivory, to set my foundation and concealer in and give my face a more matte look. I love it and am so happy that I have never tried another brand.

- Apples, almond butter, and apple cider have been my go to foods/drinks this past month. I normally will get apples and cider each week at our local farmers market but this week I had to get cider from the store because I couldn't make the market. Almond butter is just down right delicious. I love putting it on my bananas! I also add it to my honey oat sandwiches with Nutella or Peanut Butter. So GOOD!

- Jolene. Watch this if you are old enough to see rated R movies. Jessica Chastain, one of my favorite actresses, is a goddess in this movie. It is very sexual and exposing so if that does not make your merry go round, let me suggest you watch the next one...
- Brave. So precious! I just watched this and it was adorable. Grant it, I did expect a bit more and I think Disney could have developed the character more, it was a great distraction from my homework and it put me in a good mood. Plus I just really want her hair... UGH! Haha so beautiful.

Anyway, I think that is about it :)
What do you think?
Leave me links to your monthly favorites posts if you would like. They're my favorite to read!
Have a wonderful Wednesday and I hope you make the month of October the best one yet!
