Loving First Aid Beauty

I have been adoring the First Aid Beauty 5 in 1 Eye Cream so I decided it was about time to try another First Aid Beauty product. I am about to run out of my Clinique Moisture Surge so last week when I was at Sephora, I picked up the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Therapy. After reading all about this product, I wanted to try it for a couple reasons even though I don't have bad skin:

1) It is supposedly great even if you skin isn't in need of an intense repair due to skin conditions because it can reduce the appearance of pores and it delves deep into your skin to moisturize
2) I am going to England for five months in a couple days and I am not sure how my skin will react when I am there because whenever I change places after a while, my skin tends to act up (especially when I come back home after a semester at school)
3) It has an antioxidant booster, it is not greasy, and it has no harsh chemicals.

Have any of you tried this product? I haven't yet so I would love to hear what you all think!

Summer Staple | Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray

For yet another summer, the Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray has been an absolute staple in my makeup and beauty routine.

I adore this product. It is perfect for a long day out & about or for when you are going out at night.

This makeup setting spray does just what the title says - it sets your makeup in place and controls natural oils that produce on your face because of foundation or concealer or sweat.

In my routine, I will spray this two separate times on my face. Once after my foundation and concealer is applied but before my compact powder AND then again after I have completed my entire look, eyes and all.

I recommend this product to anyone for the summer :) The heat of the sun can be brutal on makeup and make you feel like your entire face is melting off, but the De-Slick helps immensely in those desperate times.

Have you tried this product? What do you think? Any of products that do the same?

Fresh is Slowly Taking Over My Life

I am in love with Fresh
I recently purchased a new edition to my collection of Fresh products | Sugar Lip Polish
I think it is safe to say that I am a little too overjoyed by this lip exfoliant.
When I am nervous, I tend to lick my lips a lot and I have been working in a new setting recently (thus provoking my nervousness and CHAPPED LIPS).
So, when I went to Sephora the other day, I had this product in mind because Lily Pebbles recommended and raved about this product as a staple in her beauty collection.
I have used it a couple times so far and I am already seeing results. My lips are feeling softer and look healthier already.
Also, it is easy to apply [massage gently into lips and leave on for several minutes, then wash with warm water].
It is a quick and simple way to give attention to your lips because they deserve the same beauty care as other parts of the face!

Also, the brown sugar makes the Sugar Lip Polish smell AMAZING.

Have you tried this product or anything similar?

Musing Music

Ugh lately I have been stressed and music has certainly been a factor in calming me down. I have been listening non-stop to Max Richter's instrumentals because they are so calming and beautiful. On the other end, my funky alternative music that I love has also been pumping me up with energy. Here are a few of my favs right now:

Fitz and the Tantrums | The Walker

Big Data Feat. Joywave | Dangerous

The Naked and Famous | Young Blood

Kongos | Come With Me Now

What music have you been listening to recently?

Summer Drink | Red Raspberry Tea

Hello loves! I thought I would show you one of my favorite summer drinks - which is super easy to make. I have really been loving Harney & Sons teas and although they are recommended to be brewed hot, I love drinking the flavors iced.

I am pretty sure EVERYONE knows how to brew a cup of tea so I don't think I need to explain it step by step, but here are some photos from my process and all you NEED for this is...

- One of your favorite tea bags (I used the Harney & Sons Red Raspberry)
- A glass/jar of iced water
- Agave Nectar (or sugar)

I added a cute straw for kicks so feel free to as well :)

Me casually drinking it after I went on a run :)

Let me know what YOUR favorite summer drinks have been! I think I will do a couple more of these just to show you.

Beauty Empties #1

It's kind of weird to photograph empty products, right?

Well, I did anyway.

First is the Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner. This toner is 8.5 Fl Oz... THAT IS A LOT OF TONER. I am so proud of myself that I used this entire baby up. It lasted me a LONG time and I would definitely repurchase this product because a) it is fairly cheap and b) it does the job

In the middle is the No7 Beautiful Skin Eye Makeup Remover. Now, it IS oil-free so one should not expect it to wipe away makeup in one swift motion but I am not the biggest fan of this. I love other No7 products for their fresh smell and lasting results; however, this eye makeup remover hardly works and I found myself having to really scrub, which is irritating and just completely not worth the time. I did still use the whole bottle up, reserving it for times when I had very light makeup on.

Last product is The Olive Branch shower gel from LUSH. I loved this so much that I started to use less of it towards the end of its days to drag it out. It has such a unique scent and texture. Without shaking/mixing it up, it is a bright orange color; but, you have to shake the bottle every time so the oils can disperse and take effect. It is very runny and soft with a delightful smell of mandarin and olive oil (really unique, right?). I would recommend trying this out maybe first in a smaller bottle to see if you like it because I have a feeling this product isn't for everyone.

So I thought this post would be something different!
What do you think?
What products have you recently finished that you will or will not purchase again?

Monthly Favorites | June

Hello lovely reader!

I am currently listening to really intense Irish dance music and remembering all the bittersweet times that my 15 years of Irish dance gave me. Anyway, it's that lovely time on my blog to share with you my favorites from the past month. So let's crack on!

- Veronica Mars: The Thousand Dollar Tan Line by Rob Thomas. Anyone reading this fans of the TV show (then movie) Veronica Mars starring Kristen Bell??? WELL I AM and when I heard Rob Thomas was going to create a book series to carry on the story of private investigator Veronica Mars, I freaked out.
- Revlon Colorstay 24 Hour Foundation. Now, I believe I have featured this in a monthly favorites post before, but I recently repurchased this foundation and am still in love. It is the perfect shade (110 Ivory... the lightest one) and it truly stays on ALL DAY. I also love the finish and it definitely brightens my entire face. This is definitely going to be my go to foundation for the rest of the summer... especially since let's face it, I am not going to get tan so it'll be fine.
- This pink statement necklace from Forever 21 is my first statement necklace! I mostly a long chain necklace gal but this one caught my eye (and the eye of my friend Kasey who I asked to help pick me out a good statement necklace).
- Smudge Stick Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Stingray by Stila. I bought this back at the end of May and used it almost every day of June. It is very bold and does the job :)
- Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain in 001 Honey Douce. I have been loving the Revlon Colorburst lip products lately and this one is my favorite so far because it is more wearable for everyday (unlike my bright bold hot pink and hot orange).
- Forever 21 Love & Beauty Face Wipes in Green Tea. I have used the Lavender and the Rose ones before so I decided to try these because I love the smell of Green Tea. I find these refreshing and the scent lingers. Although they don't really remove very much makeup from my face, I like using them after I have used makeup remover but before my toner.

What did you love in June? Share any of my favorites? Let me know your thoughts!!

Bobby Pins and Hair Ties ALWAYS Disappear

Hello darlings.
I am not the only one who loses bobby pins and hair ties ALL THE TIME... right?
A couple months ago I started using these little loose tea containers that I had finished to house two of my most elusive essentials in life (that's a bit of an exaggeration) and now I find that they don't disappear as much on me because I have a safe and cute place to put them. Where do you keep your bobby pins and hair ties? xx
