Monthly Favorites | May

Image
Pozdravi - hello in Slovenian! It is that time of the month again (not that  time) - MONTHLY FAVORITES  ♡ For the first time in a few months, I didn't even need to think about my favorites for very long because they all were so obvious to me! Let's get cracking... 1 - Paris Amour Shimmer Mist from the Signature Collection from Bath & Body Works This is probably one of my top five favorite scents of all time. It is just so lovely and fresh. The only downside is that I do not think that scent lingers for very long :( The Shimmer Mist clearly gives a shimmery/glittery effect on my skin when I spray it which I think is nice for summer. 2 - Revlon Lash Potion by Grow Luscious in Blackest Black Okay yes I have already talked about this mascara before back in March in my  Current Beauty Favorites post BUT I CAN'T HELP MENTIONING IT AGAIN! I have been getting lots of compliments recently about how my lashes look longer and very pronounced and y...

Sabon | Delicate Jasmine Body Scrub

Image
Ciao! Today I want to talk about one of my favorite exfoliant body scrubs. This is a Body Scrub from Sabon in the scent Delicate Jasmine.   Key Ingredients Dead Sea Salts | The waters of the Dead Sea have been renowned for their therapeutic effects since ancient times. It has many key elements to improving our overall health. Magnesium is important for combating stress, slowing skin aging, and calming the nervous system. Calcium increases circulation and strengthens your bones and nails. Potassium energizes the body and balances your skins moisture. It is a crucial mineral to replenish following an intense exercise. Bromides act to ease muscle stiffness and relax muscles. Soybean Oil | Soy-based skin care products can even out skin tone and can correct pigmentation brought about by hormonal changes and damaging sun exposure. It can also help moisturize the collagen below the skin surface and it can smooth out fine lines thus preventing premature aging.   Swee...

Long Weekend Part III | Family Time

Image
Hello there!  So as a close to my amazing weekend, here is Part 3. Monday morning I woke up after sleeping in a bit and made my bed, which is one of my favorite morning rituals...  Then I watched some Youtubers, read some blogs, edited my own blog posts, and listened to Spotify.  One particular blogger who I have been obsessed with lately is Lily Pebbles.     Then I helped unload the groceries that my mom brought home - mostly all the food we were going to make for our Memorial Day cook out. Notice the family obsession with Snapple and my brothers' obsession with Powerade?   Then me, my mom, and my sister Mary got cooking and prepping. We cut lots of fresh fruit to make a fruit salad (watermelon, kiwi, strawberries, red grapes, and blueberries).    I cut up pepperoni and extra sharp cheddar cheese for our tortellini pasta. My mom cooked and chilled the pasta.  Then my mom (like the superwom...

Long Weekend Part II | Feising + Fun

Image
Hello my lovely readers :) So as Part II to this long day weekend, this post is dedicated to Saturday and Sunday! I Irish danced for 14 years and a huge part of that culture is the FEIS (which is the name for a regular competition). This is the second year I have not competed but it is still always an amazing time going to support my friends and little sister at their competitions. This weekend were the Akron and Cleveland Feises - which are super close to home as we live in a suburb of Cleveland. My little sister Mary (almost 14) danced beautifully both days - I was so proud, especially since she is wearing my old dress and looks absolutely stunning in it :) Some of my other best friends competed as well, receiving spectacular results and boosts of confidence as they train for Nationals this July.  Here are some photos for your enjoyment: ♧ Instead of wearing her massive wig (shown to the right), she decided she wanted to try something different :)...

Long Weekend Part I | Classy Dinner w/ Friends

Hello lovelies! This weekend is Memorial Day Weekend which means a three day weekend (everyone being off Monday) and my weekend has been very exciting! Because a lot has happened and is still happening, I have decided to break the weekend up into THREE PARTS!  Part I is Friday :) My friends and I decided to have a classy dinner where we each brought something to eat and we would dress up and be adorable! Here are some of the photos I took - I hope you enjoy! The table was simply stunning. My friend Kelly hosted and we used her parents' good crystal because WE ARE JUST THAT CLASSY.  Here are a few candids of my silly friends... This is Alyssa... she is my light. This is Kelly eating the chip and looking precious and Mary Gael looking so happy!! Mary Ellen (on the right) made delicious homemade guacamole and we couldn't stop munching as an appetizer.  This is Kasey and Mary Ellen, both looking fierce in neutral to...
