The food looks delicious and what gorgeous pictures! What's the weather like in Brighton? I probably missed your announcement but are you there on exchange?
SO, after over a week of not having my laptop to be able to blog on, I finally have it returned and fixed! I am so relieved and now without further ado, here are all of monthly favorites from August, starting with the beauty products and a book: - Philosophy's Purity Facial Cleanser is amazing! I used it for about three weeks with the Clarisonic and now that I am at college again (without my mother's Clarisonic), I have been using it just by itself. As I work it into a lather, I can feel my skin being refreshed. I really enjoy the general scent of it and so far I like how it has been cleaning my face. - Now, everyone and their mother has been talking about the Maybelline Color Tattoos and I thought I would hop on the bandwagon and give them a whirl. I really have been enjoying 'Bold Gold' and 'Tough as Taupe'. They are extremely matte and I have been finding that I don't need to wear an eye primer underneath because the shadow remains matte a
Hello there! Here is the music I have been loving this month. I have been listening to a lot of indie rock and alternative bands lately. If you haven't heard of some of these, check them out and let me know what you think! Ellie Goulding - I am assuming that anyone who hasn't been living underneath a rock has heard of my girl Ellie. She has been my favorite singer for the past five years and I can't believe how big she has gotten! Her music is so inspiring, beautiful, and exciting. She keeps cranking out new music and it is so incredible. Here are three of her latest singles: Burn You My Everything Ritual American Authors - I have been listening to them on repeat. They are an American-indie rock band from Brooklyn, NY and they just have such a great vibe. I definitely think their song "Best Day of My Life" has been my summer song! Check these out: Best Day of My Life Best I Could Do Believer Foals - These guys are awesome. They are an
Hello there! So lately I have become addicted to Pinterest (again). As I am preparing to go back to school, I have been feeling really inspired to try out some DIY projects for my dorm! 1) This first DIY is to spruce up a regular old spiral notebook and make it awesome. I got the idea from a pin of Melisa from Pie 'N' The Sky 's triangle love notebook. When I saw it, I immediately thought, I can do that - I should give it a whirl! All you need is... - a notebook (mine had a plain black cover and was $1 from Target) - glue (I used Rubber Cement but a glue stick would work perfectly fine as well) - scissors - photos / magazine clippings / cardboard ** - Mod Podge and a brush ** I used snippings from National Geographic, Vogue, and Seventeen, as well as construction paper to write lyrics from my fav song. I also took my 'Mylo Xyloto' Coldplay album and cut a pattern from the insert in the CD with photos of them playing at concerts. N
