Update | in weird places

Image
Hey! So I have been traveling this past month and I apologize for not posting lately! Here is an update in photos of what has been happening in my life :) LONDON, ENGLAND EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND Photoshoot overlooking The Leith...  MAYO & DUBLIN, IRELAND My Grandfather's old home in Ballycroy My Grandmother's Parents' Grave Lots of cousins!   Okay so that's about it so far! I am currently in Dublin and I go back to London tomorrow. I will be in London until December and I have many ideas for posts so look out for those. Much love xx

I'm in England!

So I am here in England (for the next 4 months) and I needed some essential bath products to last me the whole stay. I went to Boots. It was not as magical as I wanted it to be because EVERYTHING IS SO EXPENSIVE IN THE UK compared with US prices. But nevertheless, I decided it was worth it to get some nice, quality beauty care products. Since I have recently dyed hair, I chose to pick up the L'OREAL Elvive Colour Protect Caring Shampoo and Conditioner. I have been using them for the past three washes and I really enjoy the smell. I then saw that Soap & Glory products were 3 for 2 so I decided to get the Clean On Me Shower Gel, the Flake Away Body Scrub, and their lotion Hand Food (which I have gone through two bottles previously so I know I love!). If you have tried any of these products, let me know what you think of them! I also have been seeing A LOT of theatre so look out for a post on that :) I am trying to acclimate to the culture here in London because honestly ...

Loving First Aid Beauty

Image
I have been adoring the First Aid Beauty 5 in 1 Eye Cream so I decided it was about time to try another First Aid Beauty product. I am about to run out of my Clinique Moisture Surge so last week when I was at Sephora, I picked up the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Therapy. After reading all about this product, I wanted to try it for a couple reasons even though I don't have bad skin: 1) It is supposedly great even if you skin isn't in need of an intense repair due to skin conditions because it can reduce the appearance of pores and it delves deep into your skin to moisturize 2) I am going to England for five months in a couple days and I am not sure how my skin will react when I am there because whenever I change places after a while, my skin tends to act up (especially when I come back home after a semester at school) 3) It has an antioxidant booster, it is not greasy, and it has no harsh chemicals. Have any of you tried this product? I haven't yet so...

Summer Staple | Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray

Image
For yet another summer, the Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray has been an absolute staple in my makeup and beauty routine. I adore this product. It is perfect for a long day out & about or for when you are going out at night.  This makeup setting spray does just what the title says - it sets your makeup in place and controls natural oils that produce on your face because of foundation or concealer or sweat.  In my routine, I will spray this two separate times on my face. Once after my foundation and concealer is applied but before my compact powder AND then again after I have completed my entire look, eyes and all.  I recommend this product to anyone for the summer :) The heat of the sun can be brutal on makeup and make you feel like your entire face is melting off, but the De-Slick helps immensely in those desperate times.   Have you tried this product? What do you think? Any of products that do the same? ...

Fresh is Slowly Taking Over My Life

Image
I am in love with Fresh .  I recently purchased a new edition to my collection of Fresh products | Sugar Lip Polish I think it is safe to say that I am a little too overjoyed by this lip exfoliant.   When I am nervous, I tend to lick my lips a lot and I have been working in a new setting recently (thus provoking my nervousness and CHAPPED LIPS).   So, when I went to Sephora the other day, I had this product in mind because Lily Pebbles recommended and raved about this product as a staple in her beauty collection.  I have used it a couple times so far and I am already seeing results. My lips are feeling softer and look healthier already.  Also, it is easy to apply [massage gently into lips and leave on for several minutes, then wash with warm water].  It is a quick and simple way to give attention to your lips because they deserve the same beauty care as other parts of the face! Also, th...

Musing Music

Image
Ugh lately I have been stressed and music has certainly been a factor in calming me down. I have been listening non-stop to Max Richter's instrumentals because they are so calming and beautiful. On the other end, my funky alternative music that I love has also been pumping me up with energy. Here are a few of my favs right now: Fitz and the Tantrums |  The Walker Big Data Feat. Joywave | Dangerous The Naked and Famous | Young Blood Kongos |  Come With Me Now What music have you been listening to recently? xx

Summer Drink | Red Raspberry Tea

Image
Hello loves! I thought I would show you one of my favorite summer drinks - which is super easy to make. I have really been loving Harney & Sons teas and although they are recommended to be brewed hot, I love drinking the flavors iced.  I am pretty sure EVERYONE knows how to brew a cup of tea so I don't think I need to explain it step by step, but here are some photos from my process and all you NEED for this is... - One of your favorite tea bags (I used the Harney & Sons Red Raspberry) - A glass/jar of iced water - Agave Nectar (or sugar) I added a cute straw for kicks so feel free to as well :) Me casually drinking it after I went on a run :)  Let me know what YOUR favorite summer drinks have been! I think I will do a couple more of these just to show you. xx
