Sundown Festival 2014

Ah so I just had the most amazing weekend! I went to the Sundown Festival in Norwich, England and my mind was blown. It was so much fun. I was in the second row the entire time, watching an array of incredible artists on the main stage, such as Clean Bandit, Jess Glynne, Ella Eyre, John Newman (whose BARE CHEST I touched as he came down into the crowd), and my queen Ellie Goulding. I have been with Ellie from the start of 2008 when she only had a few beautiful simple songs and some lovely covers. Now she has found so much success and I feel I have traveled the journey with her, having gone to see her live five years ago in a tiny intimate venue in NYC to last year at her sold out performance at Madison Square Garden to this insane festival this past weekend. This was her last show indefinitely as she is going on a break from touring to make more music. I am so happy I got to be there :) 
It was a spiritual experience being there with two of my best friends and I wish I could go back. I hope you enjoy these photos!

      I've seen her three times and if I could afford it, I would go to every concert she does haha she is such an amazing performer :)

DIY Crafts: Notebook & Mason Jars

Hello there!  So lately I have become addicted to Pinterest (again). As I am preparing to go back to school, I have been feeling really inspired to try out some DIY projects for my dorm! 1) This first DIY is to spruce up a regular old spiral notebook and make it awesome.  I got the idea from a pin of Melisa from  Pie 'N' The Sky 's triangle love notebook. When I saw it, I immediately thought, I can do that - I should give it a whirl! All you need is... - a notebook (mine had a plain black cover and was $1 from Target) - glue (I used Rubber Cement but a glue stick would work perfectly fine as well) - scissors - photos / magazine clippings / cardboard ** - Mod Podge and a brush  ** I used snippings from National Geographic, Vogue, and Seventeen, as well as construction paper to write lyrics from my fav song. I also took my 'Mylo Xyloto' Coldplay album and cut a pattern from the insert in the CD with photos of them playing at concerts.  N

Recipe | Watermelon Rice Krispies

June is here which means SUMMER HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! I can't wait to make fun summer inspired recipes for the next two months before I leave for England. I will share as much as I can with you and hopefully inspire you to try these out as well. My little sister and I saw Ingrid from MissGlamorazzi do these awesome watermelon inspired Rice Krispie treats in one of her most recent videos and we immediately knew we had to make them! She made a very healthy version but we knew our brothers and our dad would want to eat these so we went old school and used the traditional marshmallows and butter routine :) Ingrid always posts really yummy and exciting recipes that I definitely want to try. Flower Love

My little sister Mary, who is almost 13, makes headbands, bows, and clips for her hair out of cut material from old shirts and cheap fake flowers from the store... and they are amazing !! She is already a beauty/fashion guru in the making. I feel so inspired by her to be more creative with styling my hair, while saving a bit of money :) So here are some photos of her clips and headbands: Flower Love was inspired by a photo we saw on Pinterest*. She immediately wanted to recreate the look with a fishtail braid when we saw it because she just bought some daisies that looked quite similar. Here's me casually sitting in some grass modeling her work... (Secret: I was actually wearing boxer shorts underneath this dress and a car filled with attractive guys  drove by...
