Amsterdam and My 21st Birthday!

AMSTERDAM IS AMAZING
This post is a bit late but I figured I want to show you some photos from my birthday weekend with friends in Amsterdam! My four friends from college who are studying with my in London, as well as my two best friends from high school who flew in as well, all celebrated and had a kick ass time exploring the city. 
 This was us the day before we left - November 20th is definitely the prime time to pull out those Primark Christmas sweaters, right???
So we left our flat at 3:30 am to catch the EasyBus to take us to London Stansted Airport. That journey was around an hour and 15 minutes. Once there, we got our passports approved (because Ryanair, although the cheapest option, is such a pain with all their rules) and went through security. We then grabbed a tea/coffee at Starbucks and waited about an hour for our terminal to be announced. We went there, boarded the plane, and took off to fly into Eindhoven. The flight was supposedly around 50 minutes but it felt like 10! We got to Eindhoven, got our passports stamped, and grabbed a quick bite to eat. Then waited for our bus at the station next to the airport. Our bus, which took about an hour and 45 minutes, took us to Amsterdam! I listened to music the entire way and drifted in a weird sleep-limbo. I was exhausted. We then arrived in Amsterdam and had to walk about 45 minutes to our hostel on the other end of the city! YAY.  However, I did not mind because LOOK AT THESE CANALS. 
 We also went to the famous Tulip Market! It was MASSIVE. I got my mom a cool gift from here that I think she will really like :)

The following were all taken on my birthday night into day (Saturday into my b-day, Sunday November 23rd).

We survived the night. The next day we hung out in a park and had to travel home :(
So that is it :) I hope you enjoyed the photos. We also went to the Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank House but you aren't allowed to take any photos :(

    I live in the Netherlands and have been to Amsterdam countless times! I am glad you came over and enjoyed yourself. The canals are one of my favourite things about it as well ^.^ Happy birthday!

Hello there!  So lately I have become addicted to Pinterest (again). As I am preparing to go back to school, I have been feeling really inspired to try out some DIY projects for my dorm! 1) This first DIY is to spruce up a regular old spiral notebook and make it awesome.  I got the idea from a pin of Melisa from  Pie 'N' The Sky 's triangle love notebook. When I saw it, I immediately thought, I can do that - I should give it a whirl! All you need is... - a notebook (mine had a plain black cover and was $1 from Target) - glue (I used Rubber Cement but a glue stick would work perfectly fine as well) - scissors - photos / magazine clippings / cardboard ** - Mod Podge and a brush  ** I used snippings from National Geographic, Vogue, and Seventeen, as well as construction paper to write lyrics from my fav song. I also took my 'Mylo Xyloto' Coldplay album and cut a pattern from the insert in the CD with photos of them playing at concerts.  N

Recipe | Watermelon Rice Krispies

June is here which means SUMMER HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! I can't wait to make fun summer inspired recipes for the next two months before I leave for England. I will share as much as I can with you and hopefully inspire you to try these out as well. My little sister and I saw Ingrid from MissGlamorazzi do these awesome watermelon inspired Rice Krispie treats in one of her most recent videos and we immediately knew we had to make them! She made a very healthy version but we knew our brothers and our dad would want to eat these so we went old school and used the traditional marshmallows and butter routine :) Ingrid always posts really yummy and exciting recipes that I definitely want to try. Flower Love

My little sister Mary, who is almost 13, makes headbands, bows, and clips for her hair out of cut material from old shirts and cheap fake flowers from the store... and they are amazing !! She is already a beauty/fashion guru in the making. I feel so inspired by her to be more creative with styling my hair, while saving a bit of money :) So here are some photos of her clips and headbands: Flower Love was inspired by a photo we saw on Pinterest*. She immediately wanted to recreate the look with a fishtail braid when we saw it because she just bought some daisies that looked quite similar. Here's me casually sitting in some grass modeling her work... (Secret: I was actually wearing boxer shorts underneath this dress and a car filled with attractive guys  drove by... I was kind of maybe a bit mortified because when standing you could definitely see the boxers. Needless to say, we ran and hid).
