Dance Photography 웃

Last December was my college's fall semester dance show. I took photos using a fancy camera (before I had my own) and I fell even more in love with photography!

Here are some of the cool shots for you to see :) I did an original post called My New Relationship with Dance
Hope you enjoy!

Instead of doing homework...

For some reason, spring semester rolls around and all my friends & I want to do is watch movies!

Recently (within the last three weeks) I have seen some awesomely funny, some beautifully sentimental, and some pretty effed up movies that I want to share with you!

I have included the following for each movie:
- The title
- The MPAA (based on level of appropriateness for certain audiences) rating
- My rating on a scale of 1-10 (10 being AMAZING and 1 being DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE ITS CRAP).
- What I loved about it

Stuck in Love
MPAA Rating: R
My rating: 10
Watch this movie. It was the best thing I have seen in a while. Great cast - Lily Collins, Logan Lerman, Nat Wolff, Greg Kinnear, Jennifer Connelly - really beautiful story, very clever and witty, and a KILLER soundtrack (probably the best I have heard in a long time).

I Give It A Year
MPAA Rating: R
My rating: 7.5
I loved the cast of this too - Rose Byrne, Rafe Spell, Ana Ferris, Simon Baker, Minnie Driver. It had a very interesting ending that I found myself liking. I felt lots of movie second-hand embarrassment - have you ever felt that? I would love to hear thoughts on this one if you watch it!

A Good Old Fashioned Orgy
MPAA Rating: R
My Rating: 8.5
Jason Sudekis is beautiful. This movie, while being extremely inappropriate and hilarious, actually and surprisingly had a good story-line. I watched it one night when I couldn't fall asleep and then the next day had my friends watch it with me again while we ate pizza and drank wine. They really loved it too and we laughed the whole time.

American Psycho
MPAA Rating: R
My Rating: 6.5
I watched this a few weeks ago before school started. It is immensely effed up and very confusing but it is insane, intriguing, and captivating. Christian Bale is crazy.

Blue Jasmine
MPAA Rating: R
My rating: 7
This was such an interesting film, and from an acting point of view, incredibly well done. Watching Cate Blanchett is always bewitching. I am normally a fan of Woody Allen films (even though in real life he is probs a dick). This movie was very colorful and bright, but had very deep, dark undertones.

Take This Waltz
MPAA Rating: R
My rating: 8
I watched this one last night and I thought I would give it a chance because I love Seth Rogen, Michelle Williams, and Sarah Silverman. It is an indie film made for the Toronta Film Festival but it is available on Netflix. I loved this and thought it was sad in a beautiful way. No one dies but I was left at the end feeling as if someone had. I love the videography and choices made in filming this movie.

So basically all 6 of these movies are rated R... just realized. Also, if you have Netflix then you are in luck because every one of these movies is available to you!

I hope that you enjoyed this post. They are all definitely worthwhile movies to watch and I would love to know if you have seen any of these before! Also, leave a comment below if you think you now want to watch one or all of them!

Thanks for reading xx

Review | Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser

Hello everyone!
I thought I would do a quick review of a new product that I have been using. It is the Damage Eraser Reconstructing Butter from Garnier Fructis. It smells really nice and the texture of the butter is very smooth on my hair. You apply this in between your shampoo and conditioner and leave it on for 3-5 minutes.
I am always looking for a product that can strengthen my hair because I have damaged it so much through dyeing. Fun fact: I haven't dyed my hair since LAST APRIL and I have actually been very happy with my hair color. This is the longest I have gone without dyeing it, but I can feel that I will break it soon... who knows what color I will try this time!
So anyway, back to this particular product. It claims to reconstruct hair's strength and I do have to say that my hair feels much healthier after only using this product for a week. I would recommend this product because 1) it is only $5 and 2) it smells good and 3) it works from my experience!
Have you tried this product or something similar? Let me know your thoughts :)

january music

Hello all :) So I am really excited to do a review of some of the music I have been loving from this past month. Amidst my undying love for my favorites (Ellie Goulding, alt-j, Friendly Fires, American Authors, etc. etc.) I have some new finds that I have been really getting into over the past several weeks.

1) The Dig - These guys are awesome. They are a four-piece psych pop band based in NYC. Their album Midnight Flowers is on point. I love the songs "I Already Forgot Everything You Said" and "Hole in My Heart".

2) Into It. Over It. - Evan Weiss has a pretty sick, indie voice. He gets a bit too rock band cliché for me at times, the kind of music my younger brother likes and the stuff you would find at a Battle of the Bands, but his slow, calm guitar ballads are beautiful.  Check out "Your Antique Organ" and  "The Frames That Used to Greet Me".

3) Jagwar Ma - These boys are my shit right now. I love their album Howlin. They are an Australian psychedelic dance band from Sydney. "Come Save Me", "Man I Need", and "Uncertainty" are two of my favs. Seriously check them out because they are just really cool.

4) The Preatures - Another Australian band... I really like Australian music apparently - Andy Bull, Medusa, Emma Louise, The Paper Kites, Kimbra, The Veronicas, City Calm Down, and of course both Jagwar Ma and The Preatures. WHOA. Anyway, so this band is kick ass. They kinda have a Haim-y sound to them and their song "Is This How You Feel?" has been my jam recently.

Anyway, that's about it. Let me know what you think of these. Seriously, check them out. They are cool and if you want to expand your music knowledge like I am constantly trying to do, then take the time to check out something new. Let me know what music you have been loving lately!

My Roommate Hijacked My Blog

Hiiii I'm Graceee! Welcome to A Bit Graceful!! Omg, I fricking adore my beautiful roommate. She is the best human being to have ever existed everrr.

Graceeeee that's awkward, why are you being so weird? o.O
Heyyy I'm Michelle, Grace's roommate.
And I am here to tell you about BINGE-WORTHY TV SHOWS

So say you're super bored on a lonesome day, what do you do??
Watch some TV!!!

1) VERONICA MARS

So this show has been a recent obsession for Grace, after Ron(a friend of ours) and I introduced her to it. It is literally an AMAZING show that keeps you at the edge of your seat in every single episode! It just makes you so emotional and while it has been off the air (after its unfortunate cancellation in 2007), it has resurrected from the dead due to its loyal fans! And now, we can look forward to its movie which comes out March 14!! (Get it? PI day??) You can watch all the episodes if you are a Amazon Prime member (Just do the free month trial :))

2) THE OFFICE

I know that this was a super popular show when it was on the air, but I just recently got into it. It is so funny, witty, and an all-around heartwarming show. It has pretty dry humor so if you're not into that, then I would recommend not watching all the episodes at once. You can watch the entire series on Netflix! The episodes are only about 20 minutes long so you can easily watch one while you get ready in the morning or have a little bit of free time!

3) PSYCH

This is such a funny show! It is currently on USA Network and you can catch it on Netflix! This show will have you laughing, crying, and at the edge of your seat (they KNOW how to do their season finales)! Trust me, it has everything you need!

4) CHUCK

Two words: Zachary Levi! He is basically the most perfect human being! Like Psych, it will make you go on a roller coaster ride of emotions. For those of you who don't know, Chuck is about a normal guy who has found himself in a hard place in life and gets involved with government secrets. This show is so good that in order to prevent being cancelled, fans convinced Subway (the food chain) to sponsor it.

5) SCANDAL

Shonda Rhimes (the creator) is a Genius! Honestly, any show she is a part of (Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice) is amazing and binge-worthy. Scandal has drama, intrigue, shock factor, sex appeal, etc. This show is so smart that you can't help but be consumed when watching it!

Now for some honorary mentions:
- Orange is the New Black: I haven't yet had the opportunity to watch this show but from what I have heard, it is nothing short of GREAT. A Netflix original (I'm sure you've already seen it and love it)
- Gossip Girl: you can never have too much of this show. While as the series progressed, I did get a little wary, it is so much fun - a great guilty pleasure. Honestly, everyone needs a little more Blair Waldorf in their lives (with a sprinkle of Chuck Bass)
- Teen Wolf: Yes, I watch Teen Wolf, and I have become so obsessed with it - it is my guilty pleasure. One word: Stiles (or Dylan O'Brien) - he makes everything better. The show gets immensely better as the series progresses; this season, is amazing! So much suspense, intrigue, and drama, with a touch of comedy.

Alrighty! Well it was so much fun to share this with all of you! As for this post, byeee!!!
This is Grace's roommate, signing off! :)
