Day in the Life | Broadway Flea Market & First Date

Hello there!
This is my 100th post!!! I am so excited and I can't believe that I am already at this point in my blog.

I just had such an amazing weekend and I thought I would do a day in the life post to tell you all about it!

Several friends and I woke up bright and early last Sunday morning to catch the 8:31 am train into NYC. We planned out our day so that we could go to Broadway Cares Flea Market in Times Square and then hopefully see First Date with student rush tickets. We arrived in the city and went immediately to stand at the box office at the Longacre Theater. When we arrived we were second in line and that line began to grow! We waited for two hours, taking turns going to Starbucks for drinks and when the theater opened at 12 pm, we got our tickets.

We headed over to Shake Shack for lunch, Forever 21 for some shopping, and then to the Broadway Flea Market to meet some stars.

I had one goal that day and that was to meet the infamous Cherry Jones. She not only is a Broadway legend, but also one of my idols. She is currently in The Glass Menagerie on Broadway, which I will be seeing in two weeks so hopefully I will see her again! When I met her, my heart was racing. She was so kind and sweet and I think we hugged about six times. I just kept holding her hands and telling her how amazing I thought she was. I also told her that my mom, who is in Cleveland, wanted me to tell her that she thinks she is a goddess! Cherry laughed and as I was saying goodbye, she told me to give her love to my mom! I left and started crying. Yep. I couldn't believe what just happened. I was so happy :)

Anyway, then we rushed over to the Longacre to watch the matinee performance. The show was incredible! It was so funny and I definitely recommend seeing it or at least listening to some of the songs. Check out the website with a trailer here. Afterwards, we waited outside the stage door and got to meet, take photos with, and get signatures from the cast. They were all so friendly and upbeat. Very talkative and sweet! Krysta Rodriguez was so cool and engaging. Maddie swooned because she is such a fan of Smash. Zachary Levi was stunning. I told him that I thought he was beautiful and he told me to bless my heart. I replied with, "Bless your heart!". Michelle is convinced she will be the future Mrs. Levi, even though there is a slight 13 year age difference :) Essentially, it was a pretty exhilarating experience meeting them.

We then had to head back to New Jersey so we made our way to Penn Station and went home. We were all exhausted but on a high from the excitement of the day.

I made a vlog about the day so you can see for yourself what was going on! I hope you enjoy the video and the photos <3

Here is the VLOG!

Thanks for reading/watching!
Hope you have a wonderful day!
