update | my life

Hello everybody! I have recently gained a few new followers so hello and thank you for following me :) I thought today I would do a sort of unconventional post. This is basically an update on what's going on in my life. Honestly I don't know how interesting my life really is but I thought it would be nice to share what I've been up to and hear back from you! 

Spring semester of my sophomore year has been pretty damn good so far. Last semester I had a lot of anxiety and suffered from a few panic attacks. I think most of that stress was caused by the show I was stage managing and my friends, but this semester has been free of most of those worries :) I have had tons of incredible nights spent with my closest friends just hanging out and loving life. I also stage managed a show, Bobby Hebert, that just closed last night. The people I got to work were amazing and I cherish that experience so much. I am also acting in The Gas Heart, which goes up in about a month, as well as light designing again for my university's dance show in mid-April. 

My spring break, which starts next Friday, is going to be filled with incredible things too! First I am going to Ft. Myers Florida to meet up with my older brother. We are spending five days at my grandparents summer home all by ourselves! I will be sure to share pictures :) After that I fly back to NYC and that night I am going to see ELLIE GOULDING in concert at Madison Square Garden with two amazing friends who I can't wait to catch up with. The rest of my break will be spent in NYC  helping out at my aunt's preschool during the day, dinners with friends, a couple Broadway and off-Broadway shows with friends at night, and dance clubs late at night. I am also seeing the Veronica Mars movie which I am so stoked for - I have been waiting so long haha.

I also recently found out I was accepted into a London/Edinburgh program for the month of August to study theatre. I am then staying in London and studying abroad for the entire semester. Extreme excitement does not even begin to explain my feelings about this... :)

DIY Crafts: Notebook & Mason Jars

Hello there!  So lately I have become addicted to Pinterest (again). As I am preparing to go back to school, I have been feeling really inspired to try out some DIY projects for my dorm! 1) This first DIY is to spruce up a regular old spiral notebook and make it awesome.  I got the idea from a pin of Melisa from  Pie 'N' The Sky 's triangle love notebook. When I saw it, I immediately thought, I can do that - I should give it a whirl! All you need is... - a notebook (mine had a plain black cover and was $1 from Target) - glue (I used Rubber Cement but a glue stick would work perfectly fine as well) - scissors - photos / magazine clippings / cardboard ** - Mod Podge and a brush  ** I used snippings from National Geographic, Vogue, and Seventeen, as well as construction paper to write lyrics from my fav song. I also took my 'Mylo Xyloto' Coldplay album and cut a pattern from the insert in the CD with photos of them playing at concerts.  N

Recipe | Watermelon Rice Krispies

June is here which means SUMMER HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! I can't wait to make fun summer inspired recipes for the next two months before I leave for England. I will share as much as I can with you and hopefully inspire you to try these out as well. My little sister and I saw Ingrid from MissGlamorazzi do these awesome watermelon inspired Rice Krispie treats in one of her most recent videos and we immediately knew we had to make them! She made a very healthy version but we knew our brothers and our dad would want to eat these so we went old school and used the traditional marshmallows and butter routine :) Ingrid always posts really yummy and exciting recipes that I definitely want to try. Anyway, here are some photos of our process and the final product! Flower Love

My little sister Mary, who is almost 13, makes headbands, bows, and clips for her hair out of cut material from old shirts and cheap fake flowers from the store... and they are amazing !! She is already a beauty/fashion guru in the making. I feel so inspired by her to be more creative with styling my hair, while saving a bit of money :) So here are some photos of her clips and headbands: Flower Love was inspired by a photo we saw on Pinterest*. She immediately wanted to recreate the look with a fishtail braid when we saw it because she just bought some daisies that looked quite similar. Here's me casually sitting in some grass modeling her work... (Secret: I was actually wearing boxer shorts underneath this dress and a car filled with attractive guys  drove by... I was kind of maybe a bit mortified because when standing you could definitely see the boxers. Needless to say, we ran and hid).
