Roses de Chloé

So since my family went on a Christmas vacation, we did not exchange any gifts this year. I did however get one gift from my Godfather and aunt - the perfume I have been craving: Roses de Chloé :)
It was practically perfect timing since I just finished off my Burberry Brit Sheer Perfume and really wanted a fresh change for the new year. I am already completely obsessed with this scent. I had tried it before with a sample size sent to me by Sephora when I had ordered several items that warranted five free samples of my choice. I immediately fell in love and the three or four times I got out of the sample, I had been complimented from the people around me saying I smelled really good! It was a sign that this was the perfume for me. So every time from that point on that I was in Sephora (probably for the next 6 months), I would spray myself with the perfume, knowing I would need to wait to be gifted it because I could not spend that much money on it myself.
And now I finally have it and I am so happy! I am also dying to try Daisy by Marc Jacobs.

    I'm trying to find a nice splurge perfume to buy for something new. I've never smelled this one (I tend to forget about the perfume part of Sephora and go crazy over makeup), but it looks lovely! I'll have to check it out. Lovely post xx

DIY Crafts: Notebook & Mason Jars

Hello there!  So lately I have become addicted to Pinterest (again). As I am preparing to go back to school, I have been feeling really inspired to try out some DIY projects for my dorm! 1) This first DIY is to spruce up a regular old spiral notebook and make it awesome.  I got the idea from a pin of Melisa from  Pie 'N' The Sky 's triangle love notebook. When I saw it, I immediately thought, I can do that - I should give it a whirl! All you need is... - a notebook (mine had a plain black cover and was $1 from Target) - glue (I used Rubber Cement but a glue stick would work perfectly fine as well) - scissors - photos / magazine clippings / cardboard ** - Mod Podge and a brush  ** I used snippings from National Geographic, Vogue, and Seventeen, as well as construction paper to write lyrics from my fav song. I also took my 'Mylo Xyloto' Coldplay album and cut a pattern from the insert in the CD with photos of them playing at concerts.  N

Recipe | Watermelon Rice Krispies

June is here which means SUMMER HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! I can't wait to make fun summer inspired recipes for the next two months before I leave for England. I will share as much as I can with you and hopefully inspire you to try these out as well. My little sister and I saw Ingrid from MissGlamorazzi do these awesome watermelon inspired Rice Krispie treats in one of her most recent videos and we immediately knew we had to make them! She made a very healthy version but we knew our brothers and our dad would want to eat these so we went old school and used the traditional marshmallows and butter routine :) Ingrid always posts really yummy and exciting recipes that I definitely want to try. Flower Love

My little sister Mary, who is almost 13, makes headbands, bows, and clips for her hair out of cut material from old shirts and cheap fake flowers from the store... and they are amazing !! She is already a beauty/fashion guru in the making. I feel so inspired by her to be more creative with styling my hair, while saving a bit of money :) So here are some photos of her clips and headbands: Flower Love was inspired by a photo we saw on Pinterest*. She immediately wanted to recreate the look with a fishtail braid when we saw it because she just bought some daisies that looked quite similar. Here's me casually sitting in some grass modeling her work... (Secret: I was actually wearing boxer shorts underneath this dress and a car filled with attractive guys  drove by...
