DIY: Polaroid Clothesline

Hello there!
So, I have been such a slacker blogger and have not posted since Monday :( I am so sorry. I have been super busy spending time with all my friends since the majority of them leave this weekend to return to college.
But, this post is a great way to get back in the swing of things! It is a DIY that I found off of Pinterest which I am going to put in my dorm room.
I move back in one week so I will do a dorm room tour as soon as I am settled in. Until then, here is what I am making to spice up the corners of the room with photos! I did this trial run and took these pics to give you a visual of the DIY project. I put the clothesline up in my living room.

You will need:
- Wood Clothespins
- Tacks
- Scissors
- Twine / Twisted Mason Line / String (whichever you can get your hands on)
- Polaroids / Printed out photos

First off, you will need to cut the string long enough the hold as many photos as you want. I printed out 40 polaroids but for this tutorial am putting six across each line.
You then want to hang the line into a wall using the tacks. If you can't push tacks into your wall (i.e. if it is good old college cinderblock, then you could also keep the line up with clear or colorful tape/adhesives.
Then you just hang the photos on the line using the clothespins and VIOLÀ!

I am excited to show you my version in my dorm.
What do you think of this DIY?
Would you do this in you dorm?
Do you think I should add little extra bits in between the polaroids - maybe cut out shapes or regular printed photos?
Hope you enjoyed!
xx

  1. This is such a good idea for dorm rooms since you cant "damage" the walls. Love it so much and I really enjoyed reading your blog!

    1. You can even do it just across somewhere - not necessarily in a corner! If you give it a try send me a picture!!

  9. I love fun and easy DIY posts like this! I wish I had space in my room to do this.
The extra bits definitely would spice the line up a bit. How about painting the pegs though? I'd love a good string of rainbow pegs or glitter pegs. Okay I'm getting ahead of myself LOL!
Can't wait to see how you decorate your dorm.

Thank you for dropping by and commenting! :)

    1. Ooh glitter clothespins - YESSS!!!! That's such an awesome idea - I debated painting them but wasn't sure what colors but if I did glitter then it would be magnificent haha.

I'm glad you like this! Give it a try - you can always just keep it horizontal across a wall (don't need a corner).
