30 Day Snap #29 | Clubbing

Hello there my lovelies!


So my older brother Pat is home for the weekend and we have had such a lovely day and a half so far :) Last night when he arrived around 8 pm, he ate two of his favorite dishes that my mom cooks (her seasoned chicken breast and tri-color pasta) and then we all sat around to catch up. We decided to watch a movie on Netflix and chose one of Pat and my favorite Disney movies from our childhood - Wish Upon a Star circa 1996 featuring a beautiful Katherine Heigl before her career took off. We laughed through the movie as we remembered loving certain parts and thinking how cool the whole movie was back when we were little tots. 

 This morning we had planned to play loads of video games (a variety of Mario games for the Wii mostly) but we ended up watching She's the Man and Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds because both happened to be on television. After, everyone (except my dad who hasn't been feeling too well) went to our mall to go shopping :) Since my older brother is an Associate for A&F, Hollister, and Gilly Hicks, we got lots and lots of items from there, as well as Forever 21. I finally got a leather jacket, as well as some very adorable new pieces of clothing for the summer! I am so excited to wear it all. 

 We headed back home, ate dinner, and then Pat and I got ready to go clubbing downtown! We just got back and it was the most fun I have had in a very long time! I simply adore my brother and always have a great time with him. I think I might visit him next weekend in Columbus :)

 Alright well I am exhausted and better get some sleep! Only one more snap.... tomorrow is the end of the journey! I hope you all had a great Saturday and I look forward to everyone's last snap tomorrow!

    It was a pleasure seeing you this weekend Grace! Love the wonderful words about me. Takeaways from this weekend: Disney Channel Original Movies from the 90s were very sexual and had no boundaries, Hollister employees get very scared when someone from the Home Office comes in, Sharon Needles is crazy, and TALK SH*T GET HIT B*TCH. Best friends forever!

DIY Crafts: Notebook & Mason Jars

Hello there!  So lately I have become addicted to Pinterest (again). As I am preparing to go back to school, I have been feeling really inspired to try out some DIY projects for my dorm! 1) This first DIY is to spruce up a regular old spiral notebook and make it awesome.  I got the idea from a pin of Melisa from  Pie 'N' The Sky 's triangle love notebook. When I saw it, I immediately thought, I can do that - I should give it a whirl! All you need is... - a notebook (mine had a plain black cover and was $1 from Target) - glue (I used Rubber Cement but a glue stick would work perfectly fine as well) - scissors - photos / magazine clippings / cardboard ** - Mod Podge and a brush  ** I used snippings from National Geographic, Vogue, and Seventeen, as well as construction paper to write lyrics from my fav song. I also took my 'Mylo Xyloto' Coldplay album and cut a pattern from the insert in the CD with photos of them playing at concerts.  N

Recipe | Watermelon Rice Krispies

June is here which means SUMMER HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! I can't wait to make fun summer inspired recipes for the next two months before I leave for England. I will share as much as I can with you and hopefully inspire you to try these out as well. My little sister and I saw Ingrid from MissGlamorazzi do these awesome watermelon inspired Rice Krispie treats in one of her most recent videos and we immediately knew we had to make them! She made a very healthy version but we knew our brothers and our dad would want to eat these so we went old school and used the traditional marshmallows and butter routine :) Ingrid always posts really yummy and exciting recipes that I definitely want to try. Flower Love

My little sister Mary, who is almost 13, makes headbands, bows, and clips for her hair out of cut material from old shirts and cheap fake flowers from the store... and they are amazing !! She is already a beauty/fashion guru in the making. I feel so inspired by her to be more creative with styling my hair, while saving a bit of money :) So here are some photos of her clips and headbands: Flower Love was inspired by a photo we saw on Pinterest*. She immediately wanted to recreate the look with a fishtail braid when we saw it because she just bought some daisies that looked quite similar. Here's me casually sitting in some grass modeling her work... (Secret: I was actually wearing boxer shorts underneath this dress and a car filled with attractive guys  drove by...
